The incomparable Bahamas sky juice (also known as Gin & Coconut Water) name derives from the tall coconut trees with swaying palms that could almost touch the sky. It’s enjoyed throughout the year, but during the holidays, it’s a welcoming cocktail for visiting family and friends…Don’t forget the coconut Jelly!
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
48 oz (1.36 L) organic coconut water
2 cups (500 mL) condensed milk
¼ cup (125 mL) simple syrup (optional)
½ cup (60 mL) coconut jelly
10 oz (300 mL) gin
1/4 tsp (1 mL) freshly grated nutmeg
Citrus Cranberry Smoothie
1 cup frozen lemonade concentrate
¼ cup (60mL) simple syrup, optional
1 cup frozen cranberries
Zest of 1 orange
Pineapple for garnishing
Cherries for garnishing
1. Chill serving glasses in refrigerator. Add all ingredients for the smoothie to the bowl of a blender and blend until smooth.
2. Place all ingredients in a pitcher and mix well, refrigerate sky juice until cold.
3. Divide smoothie between glasses.
4. Pour sky juice into glasses, garnish with pineapple leaves (on glass) and cherries.
