Serves 2-4
Seasoned Salt
2 Tbsp (30 mL) fine sea salt
1 Tbsp (15 mL) garlic powder
1 tsp (5 mL) onion powder
1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground cumin
1 tsp (5 mL) smoked paprika
Makes 1/3 cup (80 mL)
1. Place all ingredients in a small dish and mix thoroughly with
a fork. Keep in an airtight container.
Ingredients
2 turkey thighs or 2 lbs. boneless, skinless turkey breast
360 ml Island Gurl Bahama Steamed Sauce
3 Tbsp (45 mL) olive or canola oil
½ onion sliced
½ red, green, and yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 tsp diced parsley for garnishing
Salt and pepper to taste
1. Season turkey with seasoned salt on both sides. Follow air-fryer’s instructions to cook turkey thighs or roast in oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 35-40 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thighs registers 165˚F (74˚C) and skin is golden and crispy.
2. Heat a large skillet with oil over medium heat, add onions, bell peppers, and cook for 3-5 minutes.
3. Add Bahama steamed sauce to the skillet, bring to a simmer, remove from heat. Ladle onto a platter, add crispy turkey things over the sauce (if turkey is roasted, spoon sauce over turkey).
Garnish with parsley and serve at once with mashed potatoes and other sides.
