AS SEEN ON BT – Children of all ages will enjoy this delicious bread with a slice of their favourite Ontario Cheddar cheese.
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Baking Time: 45 to 50 minutes
Makes 1 loaf
2 cups (500 mL) oatmeal muffin mix
1 cup (250 mL) water
1 Ontario Egg
1 Ontario Apple peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1 cup (250 mL) fresh Ontario Blueberries or frozen Ontario Cranberries (thawed)
Line 8-1/2 x 4-1/2-inch (1.5 L) loaf pan with parchment paper.
In large bowl, add muffin mix. Stir in water, egg, apple and blueberries until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until firm to touch and toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool on wire rack; slice. Wrap and freeze up to 2 months. Remove slices as required and serve with sliced Cheddar Cheese.
